After a successful first edition in Melbourne, ATMOsphere Australia is heading to Sydney this year on 2 May to continue pushing forward the natural refrigerant technology.
The refined programme offers participants end user and supplier panels, and sessions on policy and market trends alongside technology case studies. The focus will be the latest developments and case studies from industrial refrigeration and commercial refrigeration as well as training and standards for natural refrigerants.
This year’s highlights include an exclusive policy session with Patrick McInerney, director of the International Ozone Protection and Synthetic Greenhouse Gas Section in Australia’s Department of the Environment, who will introduce the latest regulatory issues and standards for natural refrigerants in the Australian/New Zealand region as well as the international dimension.
End-user perspectives will also be in the spotlight, with the event bringing together retailers Coles, Costco, Woolworths, Foodstuffs North Island and Countdown alongside other key end users like F Mayer Imports and Nestle Australia to discuss their positive experiences with natural refrigerants and future plans for commercial and industrial refrigeration.
The programme features a training session with prominent HVAC&R associations in Australia and New Zealand, which will share best practices and provide useful insights into the natural refrigerant market. Among the speakers are Matt Allfree from the Climate Control Companies Association of New Zealand and Kim Limburg from the Australian Refrigeration Mechanics Association, who will talk about the latest developments and technological barriers for natural refrigerants.
The market trends session features success stories, challenges and strategic approaches to natural refrigerant-based systems, with presentations from industry leaders such as Bitzer, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Scantec, Mayekawa, EPTA, Dorin and Danfoss.
The technology case studies in HVAC&R panel will be divided into two sections, one for commercial refrigeration and one for industrial refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pumps. Leading experts such as Bitzer, McAlpine Hussmann, SCM Frigo, Strathbrook Industrial Services, KAV Consulting, CRS and many more will showcase cutting-edge technology case studies. Mayekawa Australia will present innovative products such as an NH3/CO2 cascade freeze dry application in New Zealand and Kawasaki Heavy Industries will introduce their turbo chiller using R718 (water) as the refrigerant.
Among our sponsors is Bitzer, supporting our conference as a Platinum Sponsor and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Air-Conditioners Australia, Scantec Refrigeration Technologies, Mayekawa Australia, EPTA, Danfoss and Dorin as our proud Gold Sponsors.
