True Manufacturing, an industry leader in commercial refrigeration, has announced it will once again support ATMOsphere America as a Silver Sponsor. With 300-350 participants expected, the ATMOsphere conference is set to be the biggest yet in North America. With over 70 years of expertise, True Manufacturing’s long history of evolution and innovation has seen it become a leading manufacturer of commercial refrigerators and freezers for the food service and soft drink industries. In addition to its headquarters in Missouri, U.S., the company also has offices in the UK, Australia, Mexico and Germany.
Since the launch of its first freezer for beer and beverages - the Wrapped Rail Roll-Top Bottle Coolers, in 1948 - True has significantly extended its product portfolio, providing a wide range of American-made refrigeration units, including beverage distributors, coolers and freezers, display cases and more.
Highlights include its glass-door merchandising units the GDM-49-HC-LD. Employing R290 as a refrigerant, the model allows for a 28% reduction in energy consumption, resulting in $65 (€57) cost savings per year, compared with R134A. The units are also UL-certified and meet the most recent Energy Star standard.
True food service equipment awarded by the National Restaurant Association
In March 2015, the National Restaurant Association announced the recipients of the 2015 Kitchen Innovations (KI) awards, which reflect the trends and topics most important to foodservice operators today. True’s food service equipment was among the awards thanks to its hydrocarbon (R290) reach-in refrigerators/freezers. Combining state-of-the-art compressors and components with energy efficient and environmentally friendly hydrocarbon natural refrigerant R290, the reach-in refrigerators and freezers reduce operators’ energy consumption substantially, while maintaining food safety and quality, resulting in a lesser environmental impact and improved profit margins.
