Today, shecco announces a new events management service with the aim of bringing clean technologies "faster to market". The international conference Atmosphere 2009 will offer an exchange platform for policy makers, the investment community and industry experts to explore the wider use of natural refrigerants.Today, shecco is unveiling its newest business area to help bring climate-friendly solutions faster to market. Its new Atmosphere event management branch is 100% in line with its mission to help support those companies that want to grow by offering solutions to the climate crisis we are facing. The chosen tagline "Atmosphere - Faster to Market", combines key branding elements of the new shecco and clearly communicates what lies at the heart of our efforts: Bringing together decision makers from both the industry and the policy arena, and hence facilitating a rapid market uptake of sustainable technology options.
"shecco is all about getting climate-friendly technologies faster to market. We do this through a variety of marketing services. Today, we have just added a new service to our portfolio, namely events management. Our first conference called Atmosphere 2009 will bring together leading experts to discuss technology, finance and policy in order to bring natural refrigerants faster to market," says Marc Chasserot, shecco's Managing Director.
Atmosphere 2009 - Natural Refrigerants
As an active player and a widely recognised source of expertise in the field of natural refrigerants, shecco has decided to dedicate its first Atmosphere event exclusively to the use of CO2, ammonia, and hydrocarbons in heating and cooling solutions. In a time when rising greenhouse gas concentrations are putting the economic prosperity of some and the survival of others at peril, low-impact solutions are urgently needed. Natural refrigerants are a part of this solution.
Atmosphere 2009 will be held in Brussels, 19-20 October. The two-day event will be a milestone on the way to Post-Kyoto Protocol discussions in Copenhagen this December. High-profile experts on natural refrigerants, environmental groups, politicians and the investment community will find their way to Brussels to sum up the technological, political and economic challenges natural refrigerants are still facing.
The NARECO2 Project
Atmosphere 2009 is supported by the EU-funded project NARECO2 – short for: NAtural REfrigerant CO2. The cooperation between seven project partners from the academia and industry unites expertise from different areas of using CO2. It is the first European project to share knowledge and experience regarding CO2 installations, and to spread the message to countries lagging behind in this rapidly growing area.
