Joe Sanchez from Bitzer US spoke about NH3/ CO2 system installations in US supermarkets with various approaches where high-level decisions for the end users to prioritise include charge size, efficiency, cost, maintenance, simplicity and service.
Joe manages the Application Engineering and Ammonia Compressor Package teams for BITZER US. He joined BITZER ten years ago as a Manufacturing Engineer and later moved to Application Engineering. He has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Northwestern University. Joe is a member of IIAR, RETA and ASHRAE, and has an article on CO2 published with the RSES magazine. He is also active with AHRI in the Compressors and Condensing Units section and its subcommittees.
