Klaas Visser has an extensive international experience in the design, building and trouble shooting of medium to large ammonia systems with involvement in more than 800 NH3 projects during the past 45 years. His refrigeration consulting and engineering firm has recently completed (under the Australian Government’s “ReTooling for Climate Change” programme) the world’s first fully integrated two stage transcritical CO2 refrigeration system, performing all the freezing, chilling, factory cooling and office AC as well as 60% of the heating at a small food processing plant replacing 22 existing HCFC, HFC, electrical and gas systems. Eventually over 20 other existing HCFC, HFC, LPG fuel and electrical systems will be replaced.
