Kevin O’Shea’s career in the industry began through apprenticeship as a Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technician in the UK. He was employed by Stern Refrigeration and later Star Refrigeration, gaining valuable experience in all aspects of refrigeration work, including ammonia. Having arrived in Australia in 1977, he worked for Hall-Thermotank on large air conditioning plants. In 1978, he started up Marine Refrigeration Services Pty Ltd, trading as Cold Rae Air Conditioning and Refrigeration. His company’s main activities embraced servicing the shipping industry in Sydney as well as clubs, hotels and businesses, which needed work carried out on refrigeration and air conditioning equipment. He is currently the President of the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Contractors Association of Australia (RACCA Australia).
