SWEP’s Björn Felgenhauer presented test results of a heat exchanger that protects the system from scaling while operating in hard water conditions both with and without a passive back flush valve. Felgenhauer combined this with presenting a CO2 tap water heat pump with a passive back flush principle, showcased for real-life conditions.
Björn Felgenhauer is the Application and Technology Manager for SWEP with over 10 years of experience in the heat exchanger world in different application areas. Björn Felgenhauer has studied mechanical and chemical engineering and gradated from the University Hannover. Furthermore, he has done postdoctoral work at the University of Aachen in the field of Reformer for Fuel cells. For the last three years the focus has been on looking at the life time performance of heat exchanger.
